Got 2B Safe!
According to a study from the U.S. Department of Justice, 2,000 children in the U.S. are reported missing each day. Honeywell partnered with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® (NCMEC) to create Got 2B Safe! Think Smart and Take Charge, a comprehensive school-based program designed to teach abduction prevention directly to young children. The program teaches third-grade students to recognize and avoid dangerous situations through the “Got 2B Safe! Four Rules,” critical life-saving lessons:
- Check First
- Go with a Friend
- It’s My Body
- Tell a Trusted Adult
Report a sighting of a missing child
Please report any information regarding a missing child to our:
- 24-hour call center by dialing toll-free 1.800.THE.LOST (1.800.843.5678)
- Visiting the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s website.
Got 2B Safe! Awards Program
The Got 2B Safe! Awards program was developed by Honeywell and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children® (NCMEC) to recognize teachers with the greatest commitment to child safety.
This initiative is designed to encourage elementary school teachers at accredited U.S. schools to help their students learn valuable and potentially life-saving lessons through teaching the Got 2B Safe! program in their classroom. Every year since the program’s inception, five grand prize winners have received a complete $10,000 classroom makeover, and up to 100 teachers each year have received $500 gift cards for school supplies.
